A pair of early 19th C taxidermy bird trees, each showcasing approximately forty exotic bird specimens. The birds are mounted amidst intricately entwined artificial shrubs, with naturalistic arrangements of ferns and grasses at the base. The cases, which feature arch-topped designs, are glazed on both the front and back, allowing for a clear view of the exhibits from either side.Cases are from ca.1868-1878 and bear the label “preserved by H.Burton 120 Wardour street, Oxford street, London”.
